In the General Contracts Program participants perform a variety of tasks. These include confidential shredding, cutting rags for wholesale and creating handcrafted products. Participants of the General contracts program also prepare and price items for sale in our thrift store AMIGOS and getting items ready for the AMIGOS online auction. Our largest contract involves refurbishing remotes, cords and power supplies to be returned back into circulation. This process includes sorting, cleaning, packaging and sending supplies back to the distributer.
The General Contracts Program also teaches life skills, the skill set that clients learn in the program are fine motor skills and maintaining existing abilities and mobility. The contracts room also offers leisure activities including bowling, movie day BINGO and group activities within the community.
